Kawowo: Exploring the Novel

Kawowo (noun) Hawaiian for seedling; young plant

Hello and welcome to a unique wiki where students showcase their explorations into the novel as a genre. The work you will see here is from students who are enrolled in Professor McPherson's Introduction to the Novel course at Berkshire Community College.

Notice that the name of the wiki is the Hawaiian word 'Kawowo,' which means "seedling" or "young plant." Just like a kawowo is a seedling that requires nurturing to make it grow, this wiki is where students take their burning questions and explore possible answers, helping those ideas grow and flourish as they discover the possibilities in the novels of study.

Enjoy!
